Disability is any difficulty that causes someone to need extra support to continue their life activities. These difficulties can include behavioral, emotional, physical and learning-related difficulties. Disabled individuals may have difficulty in continuing their life activities, in realizing their education, and even in expressing their emotions and behaviors. In this regard, they need extra support, that is, special educational.
What is "special educational needs" and what does it encompass?
Education is one of the basic human rights. All disabled individuals need an inclusive education by taking advantage of this right to education.Thus, special education enables individuals with disabilities to develop their academic, social, emotional and physical potentials by participating in education.
It is necessary to act with experts that an individual in need of special education can be helped. Parents have a great responsibility in this regard. Youth with special educational needs
Youth with Special Educational Needs (SEN) need inclusive education and guidance after basic education.In this context, they should be helped to determine their interests and abilities and to plan their future. They should be guided to aim for an effective and holistic career. Thus, it is ensured that youth with SEN make their career choices correctly and consciously.
Job opportunities in the public sphere should be increased and supported. In this way, they gain a positive attitude towards business life by increasing their skills and confidence. Interaction with school and activities should be maintained to develop social skills. Helping them rebuild their self-confidence and sense of competence with these skills. Finally, one of the most important factors to inform parents’ and public’s interest on life planning and needs of youth with SEN.
